"Your Blood, Saves Lives"
Today BSMM det 88W have organised a blood donation campaign with the help of Pusat Darah Negara. For the very 1st time, I have donated blood to save lives. I was decided to donate my blood since the preparation of this event was in progress, but I was so nervous since this morning, I even check my own vital sign a few times before the pegawai PDN reached KTSN. My heartbeat was so fast, rate in a hundred times per minute, this situation make me more nervous and scare of the blood donation.
But I didn't give out of donating blood, so I filled in the blood donation form and started to go from one counter to another. In 1st counter, the official of PDN tested my blood type, result is O. Next, the 2nd counter, the doctor tested for my blood pressure, it was 100/90. Oh my god, my systolic BP was so low and my diastolic BP was high but never mind, it still in the normal range. The most embarrassed moment was the doctor knew I am donating blood for the 1st time, because my heartbeat was 120 per minute, scary~~~
I registered myself as a certified blood donor at the 3rd counter and finally I have reached the counter of donation. I don't dare to look at the nurse beside me and all my friends came to me to calm me down, so that I won't be too nervous during that moment. One of my pal lie beside me and let me hold onto her hand, so to decrease my fear. Finally, I have donated 350 mL of blood and I'm a universal donor with blood type O. =) I am so proud of myself now.
My certificate for blood donation.
